5.1 Letter from Carter Jonas re Land West of West Street
Councillors acknowledged the approach from Carter Jonas to discuss development of the Land West of West Street. Councillors noted that residents of the village had ranked planning and excessive development as an area of substantial concern during research conducted by the Neighbourhood Development Plan Committee. The proposed area of development falls outside of the development boundary and the Parish Council continue to object strongly to any further development of this scale within the village, (taking into consideration the 40 new houses on Sand Road and the outline planning permission for a further 38 houses on at the Kingspan Site on Eltisley Road). Councillors felt that the reasoning for requesting a meeting by Carter Jonas was flawed; and that their proposal would not bring any tangible benefit to the village. Therefore, it was unanimously agreed that the Parish Council would decline this invitation for a meeting as their stance remains unchanged. - Planning
