The agenda for a PC meeting is published at least 3 clear working days in advance, both in printed form on the village noticeboard outside the Reading Room, and also as a post on this website. For the regular monthly meetings, the clerk’s report is also available to download before the meeting, with a link to it on the agenda page. Meetings are normally the 1st Monday of each month (unless that is a bank holiday, in which case the meeting is normally the following day or on the 2nd Monday); extra meetings are sometimes held to allow the parish Council to discuss an urgent matter, such as a planning application where we have to give our input before our next scheduled meeting.

Meetings are normally held in the Reading Rooms. However, to comply with the rules on social distancing – and to allow those self-isolating to participate – we held our meetings online during the Covid-19 pandemic. We used Zoom (https://zoom.us/, meeting ID 313 378 5045, passcode 941083), which allowed the Councillors and the Parish Clerk to be online together, and also allowed interested parties to watch and listen in. During open forum sessions, members of the public were able to participate. Meetings of subcommittees are still being held on Zoom when appropriate. For such meetings, you can join us using the above details or link. (We recommend you sign up with Zoom and experiment before attending your first meeting online. You can join a test meeting by visiting https://zoom.us/test.)

The agendas and minutes for recent and forthcoming meetings can be found by looking at the recent posts section of the home page, or in the news section of the website. For older meetings, the agenda and minutes can be found in the document library.
