The Next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held in The Reading Room on Monday 5th February 2024 at 7:30pm, with Nick Ginn in the chair.

All members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend for the purposes of considering and resolving the business to be transacted at the meeting as set out below.

1.  Silent Prayer.

2.  Apologies for absence.

3.  Declarations of Interest. 

(a) Councillors to declare any disclosable pecuniary interest in any items on the agenda:

4.  Minutes.  Consideration of the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 8th January 2024.

5.  Open Forum – 15 minutes to enable members of the public to bring any matters to the attention of the Parish Council.

6.  Matters Arising:

  • Mandene Gardens and Dutton Gardens open space areas.
  • Community energy project.

7.0. Reading Room:

  1. Reading Room AGM and nominations of Trustees.
  2. Parish Council representative to the Reading Room Committee.

8. RFO’s Financial Statements Autumn 2023 and Budget Review.

9. Payments for Approval.

10. CIL Report 2022/23.

11. Highways & Rights of Way:

  • any repairs or maintenance needed.
  • A428 road closure – request for liaison from Little Gransden Parish Council
  • A428 Social Value Fund – Caxton Road application
  • A428 Social Value Fund – Little Lane Playing Field access application.
  • Meadow Road speeding.
  • Footbridge – between churchyard and cemetery.
  • Little Lane dog fouling.

12. Correspondence:

12.1 Ref. proposal for a new house, rear of 2 Church Street.

14. HR Committee Update. In line with the legislation below*, this item will be closed to the public.

15. Date of Next Meeting: Monday 4th March 2024 which will commence at 7:30pm.


* ‘Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960:

(2) A body may, by resolution, exclude the public from a meeting (whether during the whole or part of the proceedings) whenever publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted or for other special reasons stated in resolution and arising from the nature of that business or of the proceedings;
and where such a resolution is passed, this Act shall not require the meeting to be open to the public during proceedings to which the resolution applies.’
